OTCnet Release 4.7.1 (Part 2) Overview

The U.S. Treasury Bureau of the Fiscal Service (Fiscal Service) Over the Counter Division (OTCD) is updating the Over-the-Counter Channel Application (OTCnet) to Release 4.7.1 (Part 2) in November 2023, which introduces the following updates:

System Updates

• Extend Session Timeout to 30 Minutes in OTCnet Online: The session timeout in the Online application will be extended to 30 minutes which prevents unnecessary timeouts due to inactivity. This is an extension of the original 15-minute limit.
• Display Access Message to Kiosk Operators That Are Not Yet Provisioned: Kiosk Operators that have been provisioned in SailPoint, but not yet in OTCnet, will receive an access message that reads “Thank you for logging into OTC Kiosk. You have completed the steps to request access to the application. Please contact your agency’s security administrator to assign your OTC Kiosk Endpoint(s) and role(s). Once they have completed your role and endpoint assignments, you will be able to make payments with OTC Kiosk.”
• Address Security Updates: Manage several security enhancements such as technical debts and security scan findings.
• Apply Code Cleanup Updates and Database (DB) Updates: Address unused scripts and enhance the DB Maintenance Job Process.
