Fiscal Service Advisory Council (FSAC) 2023 Customer Symposium

Date: Tuesday and Wednesday, July 11-13, 2023, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM ET

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Disbursing & Debt Management (DDM) will host the Fiscal Service Advisory Council (FSAC) Customer Symposium online through MS Teams Live Event on July 11-13, 2023. Optional break-out sessions will be available in the afternoon of each day and on an optional third day, Thursday, July 13, which is for limited break-out sessions only.

You will have an opportunity to attend the breakout sessions through a calendar invite link provided prior to the symposium.

The symposium provides a unique opportunity for federal agencies to hear first-hand updates about federal government payment products, services, and initiatives and debt collection solutions.

2023 Government Financial Management Conference (GFMC) Virtual

Date: Monday and Tuesday, August 14-15, 2023, Starting at 9:00 AM ET

The Government Financial Management Conference (GFMC) Virtual will be held on August 14-15, 2023, starting 9 AM EST on both days. View our brochure.

The GFMC Virtual provides a forum for those in the federal financial management community to learn about current issues, exchange knowledge, and share experiences in improving financial management operations and policies. All educational sessions will be led by federal financial management experts and select business partners.

This event will offer up to ten federal financial management sessions. Up to 10.5 NASBA CPEs can be earned.

Registration

Registration is available exclusively to federal and state employees, and vendors with current government contracts. The registration fee is $150, payable on Pay.gov.

This event is non-refundable. Registration closes July 28^th.

The Department of Treasury held the Fiscal Service Financial Institution Information Exchange.

Treasury has a long history of partnering with financial institutions of all sizes. This was an opportunity to discuss the important role financial institutions play to support our agency in collecting, paying, and reporting on the financial business of the government.

2023 Joint Financial Management Improvement Program Conference

The Future of Payments and Collections Forum

Fiscal Service provides numerous services to over 250 federal agencies, enabling federal agencies to focus on their core mission. Of these services, money movement, financial data, and effective customer service face a growing number of changes as the financial ecosystem adapts to the increasingly digital world.

The Future of Payments and Collections forum brought together thought-leaders and decision-makers across government, industry, and academia to provide an in-depth look at the payment innovations and cross- industry challenges that are transforming the payments landscape.

Treasury Minority Bank Summit
Date: Thursday, April 28, 2022, 12:30 PM – 4:30 PM ET
Location: Online
Treasury has a long history of supporting minority banks with two specific programs, the Minority Bank Deposit Program and the Treasury Bank Mentorship Protégé Program. This summit focused on collaborative efforts, program highlights, and current issues and challenges facing minority deposit institutions.

Virtual Data Sharing Agreements Agency Partnership Event

During this Agency Partnership Engagement, we walked you through the process of standing up a data sharing agreement with us and provided you with an understanding of the different types of agreements and their purpose. You learned the type of information you may need to provide to us in order to stand up an agreement efficiently. We also reviewed our payment integrity tools in the event that you have any unmet improper payment needs.

Winter 2022 IPP User Group Meeting

Emerging Technology Day

In partnership with several Treasury Bureaus and ACT-IAC, Fiscal Service hosted our second annual Emerging Technology Day – an event designed by the financial management community for the financial management community. Speakers included subject matter experts from academia, industry, and government agencies.

2021 JFMIPVIRTUAL ^SM Webinar
Date: November 17, 2021

The 2021 JFMIPVirtual^SMwebinar, a cooperative undertaking between the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Government Accountability Office, Office of Management and Budget, and Office of Personnel Management, was held on November 17, 2021.

This free event included experts from the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) community discussing the Future Vision of Federal Financial Management, Global Trends in Federal Management, Payment Integrity, and Human Capital Management.

Treasury Bank Mentorship Protégé Program 2021 Conference
Date: July 29, 2021

Fiscal Service held the first annual Treasury Bank Mentor Protégé Program (TBMPP) conference focused on partnerships and opportunities. With a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion, the timing was perfect to discuss the role Treasury and our industry partners are playing in making a change in the minority banking community through the TBMPP.

2021 Fiscal Service Advisory Council Payments Forum

Virtual Recovery Tool and Info App Demonstration from the Payment Integrity Center of Excellence (PICOE)
Date: June 17, 2021

PICOE is a community of experts within the Bureau of the Fiscal Service responsible for assisting agencies in reducing improper payments and dedicated to solving government-wide payment integrity challenges. Info Apps are quickly deployed, secure customized applications that are integrated with operational systems to make large payment datasets more targeted and manageable.

Federal Law Enforcement Partnership Engagement
The Bureau of the Fiscal Service held a Federal Law Enforcement Partnership Engagement virtual event on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 9:30 am to Noon Eastern. The Payment Integrity Center of Excellence (PICOE) hosted this event to share ways we are able support the federal law enforcement community with investigations and combating fraud waste and abuse.

2021 Winter Invoice Processing Platform User Group Meeting
The U.S. Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service hosted an Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) user group session on Wednesday - January 27, 2021. Due to current circumstances, this meeting was entirely online.

2020 Treasury Fiscal Service U.S. Debit Card & Digital Pay Forum
On the afternoon of November 10, 2020, Fiscal Service held the U.S. Debit Card & Digital Pay Forum in an online format. During the virtual forum, participants had the opportunity to learn about the latest innovations in the electronic payments space, plus recent enhancements to our card program and take advantage of networking with peers to learn best practices.

Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) Webinar Series
The Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP), a cooperative undertaking of the Treasury, GAO, and the CFO community held a JFMIP Webinar Series on October 21, 2020 from 12:30-5:30 pm.

This half-day webinar event provided a forum for those in the federal financial management community to learn about current issues, exchange knowledge, and share experiences in improving financial management operations and policies.
The Scantlebury award was presented during the October 21 webinar series.

GFMCLive^sm Webinar Event
Treasury's Bureau of the Fiscal Service held the GFMCLive^sm webinar event on August 24, 2020 from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm.
GFMCLive^sm 2020 was a virtual webinar offered free of charge in place of the 2020 Government Financial Management Conference (GFMC). Attendees learned about the Future of Federal Financial Management, the Financial Management (FM) Quality Service Management Office (QSMO), and the new Treasury Financial Management (TFX) Experience.

AI Emerging Technology Day
Date: Thursday, August 6, 2020, 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. ET
The Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of Financial Innovation and Transformation, in partnership with ACT-IAC Emerging Technology Community of Interest (COI), presented Emerging Technology Day. This was a half day virtual event where industry, academia and government experts discussed the impact artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) is having on the financial sector. They also showcased examples of projects happening in real-time with insights on how to get started and how to get results.

2019 Government Financial Management Conference (GFMC)

This annual training event covered the latest developments in federal financial management practices, systems and operations.

All educational training sessions were led by federal financial management experts from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of Management and Budget, Federal Reserve Bank, and selected partners and agents.

The conference was held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. Attendees earned up to 21 continuing professional education (CPE) credits.

Fiscal Service Advisory Council Payments Forum 2019
Date: June 4-5, 2019 | Location: Social Security Administration, Woodlawn, MD

This forum provides a unique opportunity for agencies to hear first-hand updates about federal government payment products, services, and initiatives.

Participation was open to all federal agencies. Multiple representatives from each federal program agency attended. But, voting on Council initiatives was limited to one vote for each agency processing site responsible for submitting payments to the Fiscal Service.

2019 Joint Financial Management Improvement Program Conference

The 2019 Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) conference was held May 20, 2019 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

This one-day training event is a cooperative undertaking of the Treasury, GAO, OMB and OPM. Participants learned about the latest developments and improvements in federal financial management practices, systems, and operations from a selection of up to 16 educational sessions.

Agency Partnership Engagement on Payment Integrity April 10-11, 2019

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service hosted an Agency Partnership Engagement on Payment Integrity on April 10-11, 2019, onsite at the Philadelphia Financial Center in Northeast Philadelphia.

This event provided a unique opportunity for agencies to share their knowledge and expertise and proactively engage in discussions on payment integrity across the Government.

This annual training event covered the latest developments in federal financial management practices, systems and operations.

This forum gave attendees the opportunity to learn how the Fiscal Service can help identify, prevent, collect and resolve agency receivables.

The Symposium was scheduled for May 23 and 24, 2018, at the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) Conference Center in Washington DC and provided federal program agencies the opportunity to create and strengthen connections with other federal agencies and Treasury as we work together to identify and prevent improper payments, improve receivables management, and increase debt collections.
