The Future of Federal Payments Forum and Reducing Checks Workshop

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to developments relating to the Coronavirus (COVID 19) and based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control, the Office of Personnel Management, the World Health Organization and other authorities, the Bureau of the Fiscal Service has decided to cancel the "in person"  Future of Federal Payments Forum and Check Reduction Workshop. We regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask you to please forward this message to anyone in your organization who was planning to attend or participate.

We want to express our thanks to everyone involved in planning or participating in this event. We appreciate your interest in our goal to reduce checks and look forward to working with you in the future.

We are currently working with stakeholders to schedule virtual capabilities for some events.  We’ll provide additional information on the possibility of virtual events when available.

Cash Management Improvement Act (CMIA) Spring Workshop

Date: May 7-8, 2020

Location: Washington, DC

This Workshop will provide for a dynamic exchange on a broad range of topics and policy issues about the implementation of the Cash Management Improvement Act (CMIA).

Our goal is to engage the CMIA community on best practices and ideas for a major upgrade of the Cash Management Improvement Act System (CMIAS).

Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP)

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Due to public safety concerns, both the In-Person and Virtual components of the 2020 Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) conference - originally scheduled for May 11th - are now canceled.

We are examining the possibility of holding an alternate virtual event in the upcoming months. Please check our website regularly for updates.

Any conference fees that have been charged will be fully refunded.

Participation is open to all federal agencies. Multiple representatives from each federal program agency are welcome to attend. However, voting on Council initiatives will be limited to one vote for each agency processing site responsible for submitting payments to the Fiscal Service.

2019 Government Financial Management Conference (GFMC)
Date: August 12-14, 2019 | Location: Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, Washington, DC

This annual training event covered the latest developments in federal financial management practices, systems and operations.

All educational training sessions were led by federal financial management experts from the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, Office of Management and Budget, Federal Reserve Bank, and selected partners and agents.

The conference was held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. Attendees earned up to 21 continuing professional education (CPE) credits.

Fiscal Service Advisory Council Payments Forum 2019
Date: June 4-5, 2019 | Location: Social Security Administration, Woodlawn, MD

This forum provides a unique opportunity for agencies to hear first-hand updates about federal government payment products, services, and initiatives.

Participation was open to all federal agencies. Multiple representatives from each federal program agency attended. However, voting on Council initiatives was limited to one vote for each agency processing site responsible for submitting payments to the Fiscal Service.

The 2019 Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) conference was held May 20, 2019 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

This one-day training event is a cooperative undertaking of the Treasury, GAO, OMB and OPM. Participants learned about the latest developments and improvements in federal financial management practices, systems, and operations from a selection of up to 16 educational sessions.

Agency Partnership Engagement on Payment Integrity April 10-11, 2019

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service hosted an Agency Partnership Engagement on Payment Integrity on April 10-11, 2019, onsite at the Philadelphia Financial Center in Northeast Philadelphia.

This event provided a unique opportunity for agencies to share their knowledge and expertise and proactively engage in discussions on payment integrity across the Government.
