October 23, 2015

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The United States Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, is requesting applications from financial institutions interested in becoming a Financial Agent to support the issuance of non-benefit Federal payments, to be made available through prepaid debit cards issued to Federal Agency programs.

The Financial Agent will provide program enrollment, administration, reporting, card issuance, customer service, and program management services in connection with the U.S. Debit Card Program, which delivers Federal non-benefit payments through debit cards as an alternative to checks, drafts, cash and other non-electronic means.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. Eastern Time on November 23, 2015. More information is available on the U.S. Debit Card web page.
