Batch Control/Batch Balancing is an optional feature (which can be configured to be mandatory) that agencies can use to perform checks and balances on the number of checks that have been scanned, and ensure their respective dollar amounts and check number totals have been accurately entered. The functionality is available for both single item mode and batch mode.
A Check Capture Administrator can configure the terminal for Batch Control as optional or mandatory as well as on batch create, batch close, or both. For more details about configuring a terminal, refer to Chapter 7: Configuring Check Processing Settings of the OTCnet Participant User Guide.
