Modernization, Innovation, and Payment Resolution (formerly National Payment Integrity and Resolution Center)

The Modernization, Innovation and Payment Resolution Center is the nationwide service location for all payment resolution activities, including misdirected payments, and the backup site to our Federal Disbursement Services office located in Kansas City, for payment disbursement and print production.

Misdirected payments are payments not received by the right person, at the right place or time. Examples include payments made to deceased individuals, invalid bank accounts, checks that have been counterfeited or altered, or forgery claims.

Among the over 300 federal agencies that Modernization, Innovation, and Payment Resolution supports, our largest customers are the Department of Labor, Internal Revenue Service, Railroad Retirement Board, Social Security Administration, and Veterans Administration.
